Make him watch Darkon now! It’s actually a nice documentary because these people have a really good time and it gives their lives meaning. If they’re happy in a world that makes them feel like shit most of the time, I say more power to them, as goofy as they look. “Fruit!”

I have grown to hate LARPers. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a geeky girl, myself, I play my fair share of tabletop games and regular RP’ing, as well as the video kind, but LARPing just makes me rage. It doesn’t help that a friend of mine tried to ARGUE WITH ME about how the LARP world he plays in could probably out match even stuff like Jedi.

Should definitely watch Darkon at this point. Those guys, for the most part, have real lives and they have a blast at what they do. (it’s also a bit more like play-acting for them, too, rather than bickering about rules and magic).
