Yup, sounds good! I think that’s the easiest way of trying to get the point across to people who can’t understand the benefits. It’s like the system in place now, except no-one is trying to skim off a profit and decisions are made by doctors not accountants….

Incidentally, firefighting really did used to be private, back in the 19th century. It didn’t work very well…

I LOVE THIS VIDEO! I posted it on my own blog.. along with some of the other stupid things conservatives have said throughout history when progress was trying to be made.
Death panels?? Really?! And now they’re saying women with breast cancer are all going to die if they choose the public option? Seriously, WTF?

great animation. as someone who has always had free universal health care at the point of delivery (i used to live in the uk and now live in israel) i just can’t understand the american fear of it. i’ve always had all the treatment i need and no worry about paying for it.
it makes no sense to me that 40% of people in the richest country in the world can’t afford to get sick!
when they had private fire engines companies in england in the uk back inthe 18C & 19C if you weren’t insured with the right fire company the fire fighters would go past your house and let it burn down!
