1.) When looking at hostile cats, squint/narrow your eyes. Cats interpret this as being relaxed, and feel less challenged.
2.) Take cat OUTSIDE and BRUSH IT REGULARLY. It’s still quality time, and there’s less fur in the house.
3.) Cats like sinks because they are elevated (semi) enclosed spaces. Put a box on a shelf for a similar effect. Add a blanket for instant cat-wuv. Encourage them to move by spraying them with water when on the sink.

The difference between human and cat-toy is that one can also supply food.
