As someone who is hypoglycaemic, I was advised that very dark chocolate is one of the things that brings you round fastest – the simple sugars start to be absorbed in the mouth and there are enough complex sugars to pull you out of a crash and keep you going for around 30 minutes – giving enough time to get food/strong sweet coffee inside you.
We had Skittles and a Coke ready when my friend would get hypoglycemic. It would happen the same time everyday. XD It was usually enough to stop her from having a seizure/passing out.
For us folk who have seizures anyhoo, sadly… sugary things do not help us. >_< Wish it did, though! I feel like eating salty/fatty stuff usually after I have one. I guess that's mostly comfort food, though. Hmm… homemade mac'n'cheese. Guuuh… *does Homer drool*

When I worked as a paramedic, we used ” fizzy powder”, or that 1 to 6 diluteable syrup thingy, for the small cases of hypoglycemia..
I personally prefer the 300g Milka Chocolate as infusion,.. even though I’m not diabetic >_>
