Little girls are always creepy…but this one was pretty exceptional. It faced the bed, too.
Continuing the catalog of our Mass trip from comic #256. In case you were wondering, the rest of the Inn experience was great and swimming in history, but boy did it have some creepy art. If you want to check it out for yourself, it’s called the Merrell Inn.
Side note: I found the painting online later…by an unknown painter. Somehow, that made the thing even scarier.

Glass Urchin, one of my fav comics, has outed its cast of fuzzy critters’ secret identities!
You can now see my once-super-secret identity in the world of GU…

All three NERDs at one show? You BETCHA!

Yep, we had given up on the Brooklyn comic show because we’d been wait listed, but we just found out, today, that we will indeed have a table this weekend. I’d written it off and was getting ready for a nice, relaxing weekend of staring at a monitor for hours, trying to learn Flash… Good thing it’s in New York, because my hair would be grey by now otherwise.

Super Art Fight was awesome this weekend. Hosted in hilarious patter by Ross Scott and Marty Friday with the top-hatted Dern G. as Vana White, I got to see it for the first time this Sunday, watching the current champion Michael Bracco suffer a surprising defeat in his battle with Nick Borkowicz.
For my round, I had to go up against both Jami Noguchi and Chris Impink. I figured from the get-go that I had little chance of winning, but for fuck’s sake—some fat nerd girls booed me. Who boos someone at a comedic-yet-friendly communal art thing? (It’s ok, I take pride in the fact I am way cuter and have a social life outside of MMORPGs and conventions… even if it is one of depravity and shameless alcoholism)
I hope SAF comes to my corner of the east coast sometime soon and I hope they let me play again.
I’d write more, but I am somehow jet-lagged from the trip to Philly, and have a hard time describing the visual mayhem of this event clearly. Please see the Super Art Fight web page for more.
PS. Who the fuck is Star Girl?

Hey kids!
Looks like, gods willing, I will be participating in this weekend’s Super Art Fight at GameX con in Philly. I say gods willing because, while I am slated to fight, I have no idea how the fuck I am goin to get there. But, expect me there with cool cats and a cheese steak (but, since I am a vegesaurus, it will be a steak MADE of cheese on bread. I like cheese)!
(note: I asked the boyfriend “if I were a warrior of some kind, what would I be?” and he said “chain-mail bikini barbarian babe.” Hence, the pic)
